SB Consulting engaged as a financial advisor by the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development in creating effective and successful negotiations of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for new Central Wastewater Treatment Plant with selected bidder from China. The new wastewater treatment plant is considered as essential infrastructure for the ever-increasing urban development, as its water treatment capacity is becoming the growth bottleneck of Ulaanbaatar City. The main task SB Consulting undertook was to define and confirm key financial parameters, delivery-based payment mechanisms and schedules, insurance and tax affairs and provide direct advisory services to the MCUD in reference to negotiation strategy, document drafting and confirmation of financial section, clauses of EPC contracts. The new wastewater treatment plant will be capable of treating 250,000 square meters of wastewater per day, consistently with international standards.
